Nurse With Wound

Here's a letter from Steven Stapleton of Nurse With Wound.  It's from 1985 or so when the Drunk With the Old Man of the Mountains LP + art came out. Limited to 100 copies, my friend Peter Sotos and I ordered it together because we probably saved on shipping and I could get free international money orders at my bank. For a while anyway. I sent him a cassette by Contrast which was my first release, with the order. [I put out 3 cassettes as Contrast then I started using Bling] He was nice to comment on it. I had no effects yet and a 4 Track cassette recorder. When NWW says it's great & some of it really strange it must be. He has great ears. I can tune my sax better now too.

track 19 - thee message

this one took awhile. the minimoog I recorded in 2005, the phone I rec. 2008 and I put it together and added sax in 2015.  it's one of the better messages I've received I think.

track 6 - Eden Hashish Centre

This is the inside pic on the CD. I took it in the 80's, it was on a road by Kilbuck Bluffs Forest Preserve. It was just South of Rockford airport so the artist obviously wanted airplanes to see it. The road is gone now and it is a Restricted area!?

YouTube videos

I put 2 new videos on YouTube. Go to YouTube.com and search DexBatfink. They are both solo alto sax- Peter Cottontail and Q-should I put the cat out? A-how long has it been on fire?

Bling CD available on Discogs.com

You can now buy the Bling CD on Discogs.com    Search Bling Golden Greats and you'll find it. Buy several! Update - you can't buy it on there.

track 11- Butt II & III   recorded 1990 This is like an American Song-Poem. When you could send in a poem or lyrics to an add in back of a magazine and they would put it to music for you and send you a tape or record. I worked with East High student Jason Hess for awhile and he said he had some poems and I said I record music so he gave me some lyrics and we ended up with this song. I gave him a cassette copy of it. Here's the lyrics and some art (doodle) Jason did. It's OK to laugh a few times when listening to this, I do.
